Book Intro by Azariah Scott:

Jeremiah just turned 16 and found out that he inherited something from his dead father: a computer chip embedded in his brain. The chip gives him the ability to hack other people's minds. The problem starts with an additional voice in his head from the chip, then his family's hidden issues come to the surface, and, of course, the government wants the chip back under their control. All the things a teenager doesn't want to be bothered with. Jeremiah has to make a choice to be either the better person his dad was always trying to get him to be or just shrug it off and be as he wants to be, unbothered.

My Review:

Azariah Scott is truly a genius at creating unique story-lines that keeps her readers engaging by using a combination of Teenage dram, fiction, Sci-fi and so much more lucid content. In Jeremiah Jericho we are introduced to an impressive new concept, a modicum of new and yet familiar teenage emotional roller-coaster, and a government conspiracy which is all very well tied together. The book has been very engrossing that follows the lives of a Jeremiah who is a compelling and unconventional characters, while tracing his ingenious - heroic father’s intent for his son. Jeremiah is the protagonist who is arrogant, rash, non-compliant and is always going against orders by following his own will. Although, Jeremiah has a mind of his own, through the story he begins to feel the effect of the consequences of his actions.

The author has managed to make this story incessantly thrilling and captivating with a large dash of humor. The character’s struggle to escape the government, events that conspire against him, and his own undeniable defects. The story carries the reader across time and place, shifting between the slow and careful stride of tangible life, faces paced speed, and back again.

Weaving a series of sci-fi concepts, the story examines how things change, in human striving and struggle and in the way, groups turn on each other. The story is methodically written and artistically inspiring.

This was an exciting and compelling read. Looking forward to book 2!
